Meet the Functional Clinician
professional headshot of clinician, Kristy.

Arteriosus, PLLC honors my own personal and professional journey. Wisdom has shown me that true wellness requires looking beyond symptoms and conventional protocols to embracing discernment and human agency. Through the years (I believe) nursing has lost its way. My alarm bells have been going off for quite some time. Why aren't nurses standing up for what's right?! We are silenced to practice 'whole body' health and to advocate for the individual patient. Here, together, you and I transform clinical questions with the lived experience into a sustainable, worth having path to health.

Ph.D Led, 30-year Nursing  Expertise

With a deep academic background, an extensive professional nursing experience, and the passion for functional health, I founded Arteriosus, PLLC to bridge the gap between clinical evidence and natural wellness. My approach is rooted in the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal when provided with the right nutritional and lifestyle support, guided by personalized goals and overall health and wellness outcomes. Lived experience is reality. You are not a 'standard of care' or confined to a diagnostic 'algorithm.'

A different way forward

I believe conventional medicine is invaluable—and I am living proof of it. But I also believe there is more to health than a diagnosis, a lab value, or a standardized protocol. Our healthcare system can be fragmented and bureaucratic. In the midst of it all, the individual becomes lost - just another number. I believe there is a different way forward. A way that honors science without losing wisdom. Evidence without dismissing experience. Medicine without losing humanity. And healthcare that sees the person—not simply the diagnosis.
